Scale-up gaps hide at USP / DSP / QC interfaces

Most emerging biotech “readiness” decks are green. Then the first clinical or engineering campaign slips — not because one SOP was missing, but because ownership at the interfaces was never made explicit.

USP can hit titer while DSP is still sized for last year’s mass. QC can be “ready” on paper while sample plans and method capacity assume a different batch rhythm. Each function is locally rational and globally late.

An Operational Scale-Up Assessment is not another maturity score. It is a working first-pass decision tool: ranked cross-functional gaps by evidence, and a Now / Next / Later freeze leadership can defend — customized to your unique situation.

If you want a fast gut-check before buying diligence, run the free Line Balance Lab, the five-question scorecard, or the COGS preview on biotechops.co — then check fit for the $4,500 assessment if the friction feels familiar. Those magnets are live; a full customer portal to maintain the tool is not shipped on this site yet.
